A late Anniversary

curved edgesI’ve known for quite a long time that my blog’s anniversary is on the 22nd of April. I’ve been planning a great post for months, something that will stand out, maybe even a brand new advert. However when the times came for my anniversary I had not prepared any of this for, incredibly, I forgot about it.

It would be nice to have a post about your anniversary ON your anniversary but this is better than nothing. What’s a week when I’ve been going a year?

A year! A year! I know, a fairly moderate amount of time for a blog to be going. I’m not so surprised about this length of time (God, it’s felt more like 4 years) but I’m more surprised that I have been regularly blogging for that amount of time.

So everybody, please be nice and comment on this post and like it, and follow my blog, and like my facebook page, and tweet to me on twitter, and recommend me to your friend and print out posters and stick them around wherever. Or alternatively you could just stop reading now.

A bad blogger?

IMG_2043Is it completely unreasonable for someone with no knowledge in the fanciful world of blogging to unreasonably call me a bad blogger? I shall answer your question; yes it is.
Today a boy I will not name (M*t***w *o***s) insulted me with the accusation that I am a ‘bad blogger’ which very offended me. I know my skills may not be everyone’s cup of tea (more a cup of coffee). However for someone who doesn’t own a blog nor do they check much mine, I am warning you M*t***w, do not say that again.

The PenPal Magazine

At school I am currently undertaking the ASDAN CoPE qualification.

To complete this you have to undertake several tasks and challenges which you can undertake in any way you can. Here is the latest task I have been given:

“You have two weeks to publish and book or magazine of at least 6 pages, which costs £2 per copy. However you have no money to pay for it to be printed.”

To complete this challenge I created a magazine called ‘The PenPal Magazine’, and sold black and white copies (which I printed out for free at school).

The magazine is full of previous blog articles which can all be found on this blog. Now I have done this task I would like to share my magazine with everyone, so you can read it as well.

Forgotten Disneys

I grew up in a time, when the magic of film was just beginning to come into the light.

For children like me, we did not need action-packed, high budgeted films to keep us happy, but a good old Disney video would get us through the day.

Disney’s are not what they used to be.

A Disney, in my eyes, will always be one of those old-fashioned cartoons that you never get bored of watching. And yet if you ask the young generation of today; what such delights as Fantasia, Bambi or the Lion King are. Few could answer.

it breaks my heart to know that these timeless classics are beginning to disperse and new, American comedies are taking their place.

For instance the Lion King, still my favorite animation movie and musical. And yet since then, the legacy of the Lion King has been ruined with spin offs such as The Lion King 2, The Lion King 3 and Timone and Pumba’s adventures.

My one consolation is that nowadays, more and more of these old films are being released in 3D. This at least gives the young generation a chance to get to know the true magic of Disney.

Facebook vs Twitter

Which is better,  Facebook or Twitter?

It is a question that has filled the heads of millions since these two internet rivalries came into play. And now it is going to be answered once and for all, by me.

I have acounts on both of these site, both of which I use regularly, so it was extremly difficult for me to find an argument bettering one over the other.

So instead I will go throught them one at a time. Starting with Facebook.

Facebook is easy to understand and is set out in a simple way.

In getting it it took me only 1 weekend to work out how to everything. It is designed to perfection and the new ‘Timeline look’ lets you personalise your things and set them out how you want.

On Facebook you can post messages, pictures and talk to other people (as well as looking at all their photographs.

It is also really easy to see what other people are up to as they each have there own page which you can access.

I currently have 1029 followers on Twitter, because of my various blogs, but after two years of having it, I’m still not getting the hang of it.

Ok so you get to here whatever your favorite celebrity is up too but trying to keep track of all your followers at once is hard.

I think the layout if difficult to understand and the only reason so many people have got it is because there are so many celebrities on it.

I think you know what the answer is going to be.

Overall I think Facebook is the better of the two.

It is much easier to learn and you can keep in contact with your friends much more easily then you can on Twitter.

There will be those of you who disagree but to be honest, I don’t care.
